I made this entry from the Blue Tree hotel in Brazil on 20-Mar-2003
4-June-2003: At the s/w bootcamp in Folsom. Talked to pregnant lady; it's 40 weeks long, not 9 months. Heated discussion on graphics.
9-June-2003: At TFT, Day one, rode bike, barely made train, typing this during boring Open Forum meeting. Sitting next to Ben Shamansky, who's equally bored. Loaned laser pointer during DP talk.
8-July-2003: At IPF Training. Learned Hertz won't take a debit card, then got a hard to deal with Canadian lady at Dollar. Tried some memorization exercises with the benefits of "Purpose Driven Life" (starting w/ Mean Uncle Marty) and also the 5 things Planar did to grow their business. Read and decided to subscribe to Business 2.0 magazine. Gained new hope for business and California after reading it.
16-Sep-2003: At IPF Training in Oregon, did BSF up here night before
18-Nov-2003: At SC2003, first full day, Intel booth, looking for Alfred T, secured house to rent on Howard
31-Jan-2004: At ISMC2004. Phrase that is suddenly appearing everywhere is 'It is what it is'. Funny how a phrase which must have obviously flown by me for 30+ years only now is suddenly making an impact several times a day.
6-Mar-2004: At ClusterWorld. Seems quiet, but maybe the show is specialized enough to draw a limited audience.
