This Ninja is a 900, but with a 1000 motor installed. The suspension geometry has also been modified to improve handling over stock. Don Hackman once said that a motorcycle is really a motorized seat. If this was true of any bike it is true of this one.

"The design goals were to build a machine with liter-bike power and 750 handling. The engine was more than a match for the V-4 Honda Interceptor. Many years were put into the design. The engine was very compact, and was actually only 1" wider than the Honda V-4. The engine was used as a stressed member, eliminating the need for downtubes. Suspension duties were handled by a fairly conventional system. Kawasaki employed their automatic variable damping system for progressive compression damping, and a three way adjustable anti-dive system. Riding position was biased towards the sport rider, so there were some compromises that affected long term comfort. In 1984 the Ninja 900 was the quickest production motorcycle available, and could pull sub-11-second quarter miles. Power was 113bhp@8500rpm, with torque of 62.9ft/lb's@8500rpm. wet weight was 546 lbs"
