That's all americans (deliberate lower-case "a") give a ---- about: "How much is it going to affect the cost of gasoline?" Europeans have been paying the equivalent of $3 to $4 a gallon for years - you don't hear them sniveling about it. You don't see them trying to tear up the world (or bomb the ---- out of an innocent country - Afghanistan ) just so that they can get more gas for their bull---- suv's. It's time for america to finally grow up (we can only hope) and realize that there are more important things at stake.

By the way, what the Israelis are doing is truly fighting terrorism, something americans just don't have the stomach for (even when their citizens are killed). As long as they get their dollar a gallon gasoline, the majority of americans would be more than willing to drop to their knees and service the entire Arab world. Fortunately, the Israelis don't sell themselves so cheaply.

They should. Governments will tax people to the amount the people allow, not to the amount they truly need.

Just because the Euros get ripped off at the pump because they tolerate their governments awful taxation doesn't mean we should too. By your logic, we'd still be subjects of kings & queens and living in fiefdoms. America exists because we snivel about things.

And speaking of prostrating for the Arab world, read the news. The Euros pump HUGE amounts of cash to the Palestinians. And that's paid for by taxes, and the taxes come from $3-$4/gallon gas, and...
