What a great game. To me, I still enjoy the gameplay as much or more than Quake. But I'm a little behind the times.
I even opened a store centered around playing Doom II deathmatch called VirtualOverdrive. You can download the custom WAD I made with some truly great levels (e.g. Danzig).

If you want to play Doom now, I'd recommend zdoom!
