Did you know they used some other movies' models? The ship from Dark Star is somewhere in Blade Runner, as is the Millenium Falcon in each of these three pictures...

An old usenet post I wrote
I am of the opinion that the eyes do indicate replicants; that it is a dramatic
device where the audience knows something the characters don't. It creates a
nice mysterious effect for those of us who figure out what the glow means.

We can safely say now with several references to 'Mary' that the 6/5 replicant
count is almost a closed case, except for one thing; Mary must have been killed
before Pris, in fact she must have been killed before the Snake Woman. Why?
because it's right after the Snake Woman dies the chief of police says there
are 4 replicants left (and Deckard thinks there are only 3). There should be 5
(four who escaped and Rachel)

BUT that does not preclude that Deckard is a replicant. I also think that the
Edward James Olomos character (EJO) is a replicant too.

1) Look carefully in the scene where Rachel comes to meet Deckard, right before
she asks him if he has ever taken the replicant test. DECKARD's EYES GLOW.
And they do so as he faces Rachel, turns, and walks into the DARKNESS. It
almost reminded me of C3-P0's eyes in Star Wars. Yes, it's subtle, and doesn't
happen in other parts of the movie, but it had to be or else it would be too
obvious that Deckard is a replicant.

2) How could EJO know about his Unicorn dream unless he too was a replicant, or
unless Deckard's memory implants were EJO's? Also notice how EJO's origami was
a chicken when Deckard didn't want to be a Blade Runner again?

3) What better weapon to use against a Replicant than a Replicant?

Other references to eyes: there were two times I saw buildings with 'EYE'
related signs. In the beginning there is a medium sized neon sign which
suggested an optomotrist, and towards the end, there is a 'EYE FACTORY' or
something similar carved into the stone of a building. I remember seeing it
right before Deckard pulls his car in front of a building which says 'BRADBURY
BUILDING'. This may be in fact the building that Sebastian lives in.

Notice how huge Tyrell's glasses are? to improve vision, to improve life...

STUFF I DIDN'T GET:

What caught deckard's attention in the Photo to make him scan it so thoroughly?
Who was the person lying on the couch (looked like Leon).

Did anyone else get the impression that very few people wanted to live on earth
anymore?

Anyone notice this screwup? There is a scene where deckard is walking down a
street (midway thru the movie) and if you look in the background, you see a
city as if you were looking down from a building, complete with CARS MOVING.
I.e. it looks like cars driving along a vertical wall!

Got a silver spoon, on a chain. Got a grand piano to prop up my mortal
remains.
