Reader Quality: Not bad. Doesn't do women's voices very well...everyone kind of sounds the same. But a very soothing voice.

This was a fairly interesting book that taught me a lot about senator Joseph McCarthy. It is basically a biography of his life well written by William F. Buckley...but done in a semi-fictional style. Not sure I understand why, and what was fact vs. fiction.

But it definitely helped me to understand a little more about the climate and background behind the McCarthy era in our country. All people my age ever hear about it are cliches about "McCarthyism" without understanding what it truly meant or how it was derived.
