Reader Quality:
Great. Exceptional readers seem to know exactly how to speak the lines as they come to them. This isn't easy (I've tried it as I'm reading Atlas Shrugged to
JennRoush) as you often need to know what happens a few sentences later. Anne Heche exemplifies this. Does an especially great job portraying kids.
Not a masterpiece, but liked it a lot. I mean, there's some suspense but it's not like 'It' or 'The Stand'. But then again, this is a comparatively short story, not an epic.
The part I like best is how King makes a seemingly uninteresting jaunt through uninhabited woods become a gripping story. The radio was a great plot element. I felt the 'enemy' was kind of thrown in but didn't naturally go with the story, but then again I kind of wonder what you'd have done without it.
