Reader Quality: Great as always with Pritchett. Tends to not get excited and tone things down.

Well, if you like the Dune series this is a fun read. Still, not to the level as 'Dune' itself (though few books, even its sequels written by Frank Herbert himself are). Lots of nice explanations on the various peoples (esp the navigators) and some good action and intrigue.

This was written by Herbert's son and a co-author. I'm currently reading the second prequel, House Harkonen, and this is a better book.

Not sure how much fun this book would be for someone who hasn't read Dune yet.
